YOUTH GROUP NEWS

Don’t forget to drop your returnable bottles and cans off at the church in the new narthex. We really appreciate all your help in our fundraising efforts towards our next mission trip!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Once again, with your support, youth group has had a successful Super Bowl Sub Sale! We had great support from Bagels and Cream and Price Chopper as well. Through all this wonderful support, we were able to raise $675. This money will go towards our summer mission trip to Myrtle Beach.

The four seniors, who have been a vital part of youth group over the last 6 years, filled in for Pastor Allen while he was vacationing. Bethany Althaus, Erica Cantwell, Jason Little and Amanda Maxwell planned, wrote and conducted the Sunday service on February 28th. They talked about mission and how it has affected their lives. As they prepare to make that next step in life’s journey, we all wish them the best and hope that they continue to share God’s love with others.

Thank you to the Presbyterian Women’s group for working with us on the luncheon for the Presbytery meeting, to be held here at our church. They will cook and we will wait tables. Teamwork makes life so much easier and a lot more fun! Thank you again for your support.

Are you planning on company for Palm Sunday? Do you need something extra special to serve for breakfast that day? How about some fresh Krispy Kreme donuts? Youth Group will be taking orders for Krispy Kreme donuts by the dozen, now through March 22. A few dedicated parents will drive to Krispy Kreme and pick up the donuts on Sunday, March 28 so that you can pick up your fresh donuts at church Sunday morning. The donuts are $7.00 a dozen. Payment is due with the order. See the form in this month’s Courier or see a youth group member at coffee hour.

Calling all young children! The Easter Bunny is on his way. He will join the Youth Group at their Easter Egg Hunt and Games on Saturday, April 3 at 10 am. Bring your basket to collect your goodies in and come see the Easter Bunny.

A special thank you needs to go out to the Sus-Valley Presbytery again this year as they have awarded us a $2500 grant to help with the cost of going to Acquire the Fire in April. The O’Connor Foundation has also awarded us a $2500 grant for that trip. Youth group also received a $5000 grant from the O’Connor Foundation towards the summer mission trip to Myrtle Beach.

March 14th 9:30 a.m.–The Youth will meet during in the Youth Group Room for their monthly meeting including planning for upcoming events. Plan to attend and bring a friend!
